Enough
I don’t know about you, but I would be offended if I was an African American listening to all of this garbage about “two black coaches in the Superbowl.” These a-hole commentators and reporters are talking about it like it’s an adversity to overcome. I’ll summarize everything I’ve heard about the Superbowl this week:
“Tony Dungy was able to overcome his blackness and lead his team to the Superbowl.”
I’d certainly be pissed if I did something of significance, and the only thing the jag offs on television talked about were my physical qualities.
“Despite his paleness, chubbiness, red hair, and the use of only two arms, he was able to…”
The only way we’re going to overcome our differences is if we stop highlighting them and beating them to death whenever an opportunity arises. Not that I give a shit.
